Since May 14th, the airline has canceled its commercial flights due to the serious events shaking the territory. Nevertheless, Air Calédonie has been committed since that date to responding to the authorities’ requests: airlift operations, emergency transport, repatriation of populations, and movement of personnel.
Today, the High Commissioner announced the reopening of Magenta Airport starting from June 5th. Therefore, the airline is working on a gradual resumption of commercial flights if security conditions permit. This step, crucial for Air Calédonie and the entire population, remains a significant challenge and requires particular organization with reduced staff:
- The proposed flight schedule will be greatly reduced, offering adapted timings to ensure smooth operations while respecting safety and curfew measures. All information related to the resumption of operations will be provided in real-time and accessible online.
- The airline’s administrative and customer service operations are also subject to specific organization with reduced opening hours and the continued closure of the Plaza agency in Nouméa. Updated service hours can be found here.
To combine the resumption of operations with the processing of multiple file regularization requests under significantly degraded working conditions, the airline invites all customers affected by flight cancellations since May 14th to fill out the form available in the claims section of its website: I fill out the form
The teams are doing their utmost to process all requests as quickly as possible, but response times are expected due to the context. The airline thanks its customers for their patience and understanding and urges everyone to exercise the utmost caution.
