Are you planning to go on a trip with your family to one of our destinations? The company makes every effort to welcome you on board in the best conditions.
New : unaccompanied minors
No more looking for companions! Children aged 6 to 11 inclusive can now travel alone on our lines! Have peace of mind by subscribing to the UM (Unaccompanied Minor) service.
Little travelers are accompanied throughout their trip by Air Calédonie teams. Each child is cared for by staff at the departure airport, during the flight and on arrival until the designated person picks them up at destination.
Booking for an unaccompanied child is made exclusively in our sales agencies, at ticket offices, by telephone on 25.21.77 or via our partner travel agencies. Our agents will communicate the details of the service to you and provide you with the form to be completed for each child (also available for download here). Like all our passengers, the child must present a valid identity document to show up for boarding as well as the duly completed form.
The number of UM seats per flight being limited, we advise you to anticipate your reservation as much as possible.
Children aged 6 to 11 inclusive are eligible for this service. From the age of 12, a minor can travel alone on our lines and must pay the adult fare.
For all reservations of UM tickets, a flat rate of 1000 F is applied in addition to the child fare, regardless of the fare class of the ticket chosen.
If your child requires special assistance or is unable to move around on their own (walking from the boarding lounge to the plane, going up/down the steps, etc.), they must travel at the child rate and be accompanied by a referring adult. Child beneficiaries of the Transport Card can fully subscribe to the UM service.
Only the person designated in the UM form to be completed before boarding will be authorized to pick up your child at the airport of arrival on presentation of their own identity document.
Those responsible for picking up the child at the destination airport are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled arrival time, in case the flight arrives early.
The person who dropped off a child traveling in UM must wait 15 minutes after the flight has taken off before leaving the airport. In the event of any contingencies, a text message or an email will be sent according to the contact details left at the reservation so that he can pick up the child at the departure airport.
If a flight were to be diverted, UM children will be taken care of by Air Calédonie teams and rerouted to the destination airport to the person designated to pick them up.
In order to save time during registration, we invite you to print and complete this document. Be sure to fill in all the required fields correctly and legibly, as this form will accompany your child for the duration of their trip and until they are picked up by the designated person.
Babies and children
Our little travelers are considered “babies” until they turn 2 years old. Once they blow out their second birthday candle, they are classified as “children” until their 12th birthday, after which they become “adults.”
To summarize, regulations define “babies” and “children” as follows:
Baby: A passenger under 2 years old
Child: A passenger aged 2 years (inclusive) up to but not including 12 years old
That being said, time always flies, and we hardly notice them growing up! Take good care of your children—they remain your responsibility throughout the journey.
For safety reasons, the number of babies (under 2 years old) on board our aircraft is limited to 6. Our cabin crew will assist you in ensuring your baby’s safety: the baby fare does not include a separate seat during the flight, so your baby will travel on the lap of a parent or an accompanying adult over 18 years old, who must be fit and responsible.
Finally, please note that each accompanying adult may only be responsible for one baby. This means that there must be as many adults as there are babies.
Babies (up to 23 months old) have a baggage allowance of 5kg.
Childcare accessories such as strollers are considered baggage and count towards the allowance.
Your baby will travel on your lap, with a special belt. Our cabin crew are there to explain what to do on board.
The car seat, meanwhile, is not accepted in the cabin: it is checked baggage, which is part of your authorized allowance.

You must take an “infant” ticket for the outward flight and another “child” ticket for the return flight.

Pregnant women
Pregnant women whose pregnancy progresses without particularity, can travel without specific formality until the thirty-eighth (38th) week. From this date, the pregnant woman must provide a medical certificate of less than 24 hours, attesting to a very low risk of imminent delivery.
However, the Company advises you to consult your doctor before your departure in all cases.
Sales agents should be informed of pregnancy when booking.
